OK, you have problems with the XTIDE Universal Bios too.

I like to test the NE2000 ISA in x86 bridgeboard emulation.

P.S. Hopefully see a sound card (AdLib/Sound Blaster) support in x86 bridgeboard emulation too.

Did "not working" mean Amiga not booting? winuae.7z probably fixes it now.

Yes

b5 = not booting (Amiga/PC)
b4 = not booting (PC side only)

I will check new winuae.7z

On the off chance today I tried "Cannon Fodder" with winuae_3400b5.

Using the exact same .ADFs / config that I always have since WinUAE v1.0.0 and the game gurus when loading...

Doesn't happen with v3.3.0 (or previous versions over the years).

Logs and config attached for you Toni

New winuae.7z

OK, I think still problems (DH0 device only) exist.
Built-in controller problem?

The hard disk image is not fully bootable.

No problems with b1

One answer missing: did it work with b1, b2, b3 and/or b4?

"hard disk image" = PC image or Amiga image? Not enough information.. Screenshot is mostly useless because I can't know what your HDF contains and what should happen without anything to compare against.. (log from working version for example)

If you boot without startup-sequence and manually run binddrivers, does it work or hang?

Any reason to disable DF0:? It only slows down booting.

EDIT: I think I understood what you meant. Fix soon..

Ooops, sorry Toni. Too many games to test; I didn't try Cannon Fodder in any of the previous betas as it's a pretty standard config really and a game that doesn't usually give trouble.

Given this I presume that you don't need me to now test b1, b2, b3 and/or b4?

Edit: yup, just tested with the latest http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae.7z and Cannon Fodder is now perfect again. Thank you kindly Toni

WASAPI and WASAPI EX (pull mode) audio with legacy vsync seems to have broken in beta 5.

Start emulation in windowed mode, anything other than legacy vsync, WASAPI EX. Run a demo and sound plays. Open settings window, change to legacy vsync and continue emulation. The current sound buffer loops, with repeated console output:
pull overflow! 1024 1024 1024 (with sound buffer size 1)
pull overflow! 65536 65536 65536 (sound buffer size 10)

You can press F12 and change various sound settings (e.g. sample frequency or buffer size) and then continue emulation again, at which point there is no sound.

With non-exclusive WASAPI the sound buffer doesn't loop, you just get silence with log messages like
pull overflow! 4224 2112 4224

Sorry, I was offline.

Newest winuae.7z
Good Job, Toni

All my different hard disk images (Amiga+PC, Amiga only [AB PC HD image inside]) and configs are working now in x86 bridgeboard emulation.

http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae64_3400b6.7z

Beta 6: (b5 fixes only)

- Workaround for possible NCR53C720+ emulation bug when read is shorter than command's allocation size. CSPPC SCSI driver gets confused if it causes phase mismatch error. (b5 REQUEST SENSE fix caused this side-effect)
- CSMK3/CSPPC/BPPC without UAE Boot ROM: accelerator boot ROM didn't work very well.
- Picasso IV enabled + reset: always caused hard reset.
- If extended ADF's track space is smaller than write length, ignore first bits in sector buffer (it is most likely part of the gap).
- Fill REQUEST SENSE Information Bytes (if SCSI) or Address bytes (if SASI) if error was LBA related.
- x86 VGA board didn't correctly skip autoconfig. (It is technically shared with normal autoconfig boards)
- b5 memory bank update broke ECS 0.5M+0.5M config.
- Compiled again with pre-release MSVC compiler. Does speed now match 3.3.0? (Few reported that 3.4 betas have slower performance) This breaks most SHIFT+<something> shortcuts.. (It appears to be optimizer bug related to 64-bit variables in 32-bit mode) Temporary change, either I'll add workaround or I'll use official version or final/fixed version will be released soon. Only confirming if this helps with performance. (3.3.0 was accidentally compiled with pre-release version..)

In hardfile.cpp around line 1220, you have:
Code:
int d_head = cmdbuf[1] & 31;
int d_cyl = cmdbuf[3] | ((cmdbuf[2] >> 6) << 8) | ((cmdbuf[1] >> 7) << 10);
int d_sec = cmdbuf[2] & 63;

*lba = ((cmdbuf[1] & (0x1f | 0x80 | 0x40)) << 16) | (cmdbuf[2] << 8) || cmdbuf[3];
Not sure I understand the *lba = line, especially cmdbuf[1] & (0x1f | 0x80 | 0x40) and || as opposed to |.

Thanks for the new Beta 6

NE2000 ISA

Windows 3.11 for Workgroups doesn't work (it is working on the original hardware).
Windows 3.11 (not WfW) works in standard mode.
I have to find a older third party driver for DOS to test the NE2000 ISA adapter in x86 bridgeboard emulation.

It probably needs something better than dosbox (which isn't really designed for emulating hardware accurately), like pcem. Someday, maybe (I probably said the same about 1 year ago..)

That happens when there is no test case and not enough interest

Thanks for the info, Toni.

The official version (source) of PCem doesn't have any network support.
