Send a message via MSN to fitzsteve
I un-lha'd some files earlier and when I click on them the system locks up

Could this be anything to do with the bug?

Noticed this today as well - I'm replacing the lha executables with the fixed patched version in all the packs. Also noticed some 1980 dates recent uploader's packages then found this thread!

I thought their battery clock had died.

Yep and Aminet is starting to have loads of these 1980 files in the archives, which is a shame. I think they should post a warning for the uploaders about this problem in big red letters.
