Could you imagine if Commodore released the Amiga Walker with a 1 1/2 HP Motor

+ Power issues would be gone, running the Amiga would be like worrying about the backlights on a panel of buttons
+ You could play Shadow of the Beast in the woods and in that idyllic environment, appreciate it enough to finish it.
+ It requires a thick hefty and meaty power cord that wouldn't get worn out so easily.

- Vacuum fan might drown out Paula just through sheer loudness.
- Fast RAM is included on the motherboard, this is highly controversial.

I think it needs more solar panels, but I'm not entirely sure about that.

No if Commodore built the Walker in 1991 with AA+, a tray loading CD and a high density floppy and a bagless vacuum, then people would still be using them today.
Why they'd be so good at cleaning up the woods, Canada might not have burnt all last year.

Was not walker a joke for year 1995 with only 030 AGA machine? Some ex commodore engineers made some salaries out of it though through consulting. Petro Tsch was I think not that capable. Uk guys should had bought commodore

Walker was a dead serious concept while Escom negotiated to sell the Amiga. Just like this thread.

Raking your forests like we do here in poverty stricken Finland is a tough job. We'd have definitely considered saving up for a few decades to eventually get a second hand gasoline powered walker forest vacuum.

Ah, just reread it.. This was to be wall powered. Can't have that, we only have a precious few outlets in the forests.

Last edited by Jope; 12 March 2024 at 18:51. Reason: Lamenting the fact that it wasn't gasoline powered after all

What, you don't have cords over there, is there like some kind of cord shortage?

Well, it begs the question, why don't we have some kind of Universal Suction Bus to access on the Rpi for attaching vacuums to?

Well there's just so many forests. It's just not feasible to pull cable from the socket that's three or four forests over.

There's still a lot to do to improve the forest vacuuming infrastructure if we want to keep local emissions to a minimum.

Don't despair, It's going to be a long cord to Olkiluoto, but Sisu can do it.

Thankfully sisu is the one thing we have an ample supply of. Enabled us to move from holes-in-the-ground to huts made out of peat over the past few centuries.

It had better specs than the A3000 and those riser slots like an A4000, and room to fit a 1 1/2 HP blower motor. If you wanted air filtering you'd have to like waste one Zorro slot, but it's not technically necessary.

I read a post somewhere where they linked a Philips Ultrasound machine with one and the narrow hose attachment and could run a whole clinic with just two Amigas!

There's a guy on Amibay that sells the filter media from time to time but it's not framed or cut to shape, so there's a little DIY involved.
