Ishar 2 AGA crash

Thorm´s Island, part where girl Zeldy (daughter of Commander from Zach´s Island) is hidden.

Ishar2AGA, slave 1.3a (CFOU!), WHDLoad 16.8.4231, from KG´s pack. (also crashes with IPF files, so probably no slave bug)

Symptoms:
Game stops responding, mouse moves, only quitkey (F10) works.
"Step forward" button stays down.

Saves are below:
crash2.sav - blue point on map
crash3.sav - as far as i can go, but after load it crashes immediately.

can you test the save in an ADF, and then load them will the game on ADF ?

This will tell us if the game has a bug, or if it's due to the whdload slave

I'm very sorry to tell you that after playing from the floppies, it seems to be a bug of the game meaning that it won't work if not corrected.....

To get into details, it's seems to be related to a sprites problem (misplaced sprites => needs to be checked).

Sounds like a slave bug. Have you sent a bug report to CFOU?

I have sent a bug error yesterday to CFOU. What's horrible is that this bug cripples
the original version This means that the AGA version can't be finished :'(

you must read it as "old and tired of sending bug reports, testing while it will not change anything"

which reminds me - ECS version correctly says DF0 while saving, and that carpy aga versions want disk in drive A (or B). drive B cannot be used for loading/saving, drive A works like DF0. stupid pc conversion i say.

i simply tried to finish this game on holidays, bah, no way. time to kill some enemies in chaos engine

Think of it this way: If everybody was thinking like that we wouldn't had a single working WHDLoad game

Erm... not that the slave coders can't write a proper slave, I mean by that, that is... uhmmm... bye for now...

try to find a thread about buggy whd games in KG packs, there are few games reported from me, years ago, which are still unplayable nobody bother even to test it (im suspicious like they dont trust me or what, with themepark in example)

You take this too personally imho, my Czech friend
This could be only a simple case of no-timeous-havingoos or stuff like that.

I remember reading your Theme Park thread but I never had that problem... or never played long enough... :/
Could you point me to some of those other threads of yours?
All I can do is test them, but there's a tiny little possibility there this might help in some way

I finished this game using WHDLoad many times. No crashes. Although I don't remember which version of the slave I use. I need to check it.

must the ECS version mailman. This AGA version bugs also on my real A1200
Or can it be a copy protection problem related ? Only CFOU! can tell us

We could ask Toni Wilen to have a little look where it fails via a savestate....

Toni, if we post a savestate here, can you hint us on the problem we met ?

thanks !

Nope. AGA version. ECS I played on my A500 from floppies in summer 1996

If so, then it could be that it is unsupported version or cracked one.

Well, I'm talking about original floppy version I installed using WHDLoad. It's pretty much the same but somewhere's the difference
