1084S Help

Turned on my 1084S-D1 this morning and nothing

Does anyone know people that still fix CRT's around Oxfordshire/Bucks as I would really like to get it working again (I have another 1084S but that too is faulty).

I can still use an old CRT TV or one of my LCD screens but they are just not the same as good ol' 1084

Don't assume that the same sounding fault cannot be caused by differing things. In your case Trydowave it's pretty certain that you either have a failed LOPT or horizontal transistor or associated circuitry whereas the other fault could be a bad power switch, shorted PTC, blown bridge rectifier, shorted mains transformer, faulty PSU chopper etc.

Waste of time and money getting them repaired when you can get a far superior Trinitron for a few pounds.

You underestimate the power of retro

But yes there are better options than a tiny little 1084S.
