Patch for Perihelion request

I thought to ask if there's anybody interested in making a modification to the install so that the stats of the party in the game are hosted in longer (at least 4 bytes) places.

Explanation: the game is really short and easy: there are few battles at all (10? 15? I don't remember), and one of the ways to enjoy it a bit more is to drag the battles so that they go on longer, as the stats increase for each action, even movement you do.

But since the stats are kept in 2 bytes only, the maximum you can reach, and if you play it like I did, you reach it by midgame, is FF, 255. After wchich the numbers become negatives :/

For instance, with -144 strength all of sudden you can as well erase the savegames and start again.

Is it possible?
