Wipeout & Payback

Seems both Wipeout 2097 and Payback Amiga versions are by now soldout everywhere.

Anyone knows where I can still grab a copy?

Sadly this still doesn't make it any less "copyrighty" <- tense legal term there

I would humbly suggest a quick Google - I was able to find many iso images of these programs, and more.

Go on, you owe it to yourself to have a good Google

I actually meant where can I grab (=buy) legal copies

I found a payback ISO but that came without the CD audio tracks, just the data session.

Yup, I have the same issue...

Obviously if its still sold then a full CD image cannot be shared. How many audio tracks are on the original CD-ROM anyway?

I guess that we all have the same ISO, 38MB, without sound tracks...

...exactly, but I'm not after Wipeout. My post is related to "Payback".

Yup

To be honest I don't think it's any great loss. After applying the v7 update and selecting the right CD-ROM settings it seems there are only 3 options anyway so possibly only a few audio tracks... I could be wrong though...

The Payback CD comes with 15 audio tracks. Awful music though IMO.

Funny, I always thought it was a great soundtrack, especially for such a low-budget game. I'd say about half the tracks are still in my regular playlist on my phone, and one even made it into the background music for my wedding reception! Check out the band Dispatch if you're interested, they had two tracks on the CD.

I have it originally (bought in a bricks 'n' mortar shop believe it or not), and recently had some difficulty creating an ISO of it that included the CD audio, which could explain how you had difficulty finding one. It was possible to 1:1 clone the CD however...

The three in-game options were for no music, continuous music or radio, which played a random track each time you got into a car. It's a nice touch when you're playing.

If you're still looking to buy an original copy, AmigaKit is selling the game.

Same here, not a bad soundtrack at all for an AmigaCD game!

No they're not selling it anymore, you can't get it in your sopping card. It's been like that for a long time already.

Yep, the game is not being sold since a long time now.
Personally I don't see any interest on not making a proper iso public anymore.

Perhaps not with the audio tracks, but I think googling for a Payback ISO led me to my first encounter with the EAB FTP.
