I can confirm that the froum works/looks good with IB2.4 (image loading disabled here for faster load). However, I don`t know how it shall look. The mobile mode was very bad when I tried compared to normal mode.

There's no point to code IBrowse for m68k cpus, because they are not powerfull enough.
Javascript is painfully slow. I haven't checked html5 stuff because I sold my 060 long time ago.
Anything below 060@66 is pointless.
I think it's time to go with new Amigas. They are the future.
Let we maintain good memories of old ones.
Cheers!

Well, Vampire is a good example of a device being faster than the fastest 060/80 turbo board. I believe it's just a start. Things are going to be better from now on. So, there is still hope in 68k world.

+1. And also WinUAE could perfectly run html5 on IBrowse 68k.

Vampire upgrade might be extended life for m68k machines, but it's A600 upgrade.
What about A1200? Or other Amigas...
I viewed some youtube compares, A1200+accelerator vs A600+Vampire.
It seems like none wins.
I don't think it is possible to optimise SW for Vampire. As I saw (maybe I'm wrong) it is LC040 core @150MHz.
Personally, I'd love to have it for my A1200.
BTW, It's NEW HARDWARE. It'll last more than any old Blizzy or Apollo.

Have you seen this one?

I'd love to see new IBrowse 2.5 running Vampire.

Very powerfull A600.
My 060 with Mediator 1200TX+9250 did the same job in AOS3.9.
Anyway, new hardware is always welcome.
Price is more than affordable.

I had second hand boxed IBrowse (1.x) and there were upgrade offers to 2.x. I did upgrade it and got second keyfile... so, with upgraded version you have two keyfiles, IBrowse1Key and IBrowse2Key, in your dir.

EAB never worked that well with IBrowse, and that's why I didn't register here until late days, and then really started to use only after getting OWB for MorphOS I rather used other Amiga sites which did work fine with IBrowse until then.

Lack of CSS support is the biggest reason. Before CSS times it was pretty good with all sites, but then suddenly when CSS became popular, it obsoleted IBrowse quite drastically.

And adding CSS support would require a total rewrite of the rendering engine.. and would real 68k CPUs be fast enough for it? So...

But anyway, GUI and feature wise IBrowse is a real gem, and luckily Odyssey on next gen systems cloned the best features of it, so browsing feels like home on new systems

IBrowse 2.5

1 Apr 2017 IBrowse 2.5 FAQ and History Log - No fools here :-)
As we move closer towards a new IBrowse release, we've updated the FAQ a little and uploaded an unedited history log of all the changes made since IBrowse 2.4 was released (these will both be updated at various times in the future as development continues).
http://www.ibrowse-dev.net/faq.php

Edit: BTW, with the latest AmiSSL now it is possible to manage your Gmail account on the miggy using IBrowse.

Yes, that's right. I've been testing that myself as well. Here's the proof.

Yes, it is. Hopefully, it gets faster in the future. In the meantime I look forward to IBrowse 2.5

I'm still on the Ibrowse mailinglist and from time to time it is still being used.
From what I've read 2.5 will not include any major updates like CSS and all.
2.5 will be more of a cleanup so Ibrowse is easier to port to different Amiga systems.

Well, that's always something. From what I've read there's going to be a release for AmigaOS 3.x and AmigaOS 4.x
