I have the same problem as the original post. Liberation just won't load beyond the start-up screen! I've read elsewhere that people have got it working, but no one seems to be able to help! I wasted my youth with this game! lol
I can emulate the A1200 version of the game, but I'd really prefer to play the CD32 version! I mount the ISO and Cue files as I have been directed to do, but to no avail. If anyone gets it working! Please let me know! |

Liberation will work again in next beta (but only without JIT)
CD32 drive hardware/controller is not very well known. CD32 is cheap and boring, for example CDTV is interesting and cool Last edited by Toni Wilen; 03 April 2008 at 22:05. |

liberation is working pretty well now,
but it still a little problem, very very little... During the intro, the graphics runs too fastly against cdda... I tried with cd32 quick start best compatibility, i tried too with other ways... The only way who was really near to perfection was to go down the fps from 50 to 49 but it still a litle bit too fast with 48 fps a little bit too slow. Could it be possible to set fps to 48,x or better 48,xx. I know, i'm a little bit crazy , but i enjoyed so much this intro. Or perhaps someone has an other way to make the cdda and the speed display match ???? |

wavs or mp3s? mp3 decoding will take some time and it won't delay the video if it takes too long (more than about 2s)
EDIT: there is nothing that tries to keep them synced, CDA play is completely separate code but does not care what emulation does (or does not). Last edited by Toni Wilen; 22 October 2010 at 10:29. |

it's wav, in fact the graphics are displayed too fast, even with 49 fps at the beginning the cdda is first but after a moment the graphics leads and the difference increase until the end.

i just thought about the fps because the other is to emulate the perfect speed of the cd32 and the perfect same access time of the cd32 !!!!
I don't think it's for tomorrow and i don't if it will be possible one day... like i saw that with 48 fps the display is too slow against the cdda and with 49 fps it's too fast i thought that perhaps with 48.x or 48.xx fps it could it could sync ????? It's the easier way i think but i don't know if it's easy to do, perhaps if it's easy, it could be interesting to give it a try. If it works, i think that everybody will have to sync manully because every pc are different the access time will change and the graphic display too. |

Stop it. Answer is: NO. The end.
It works as designed, getting perfect sync is huge task and it is not designed for that. (and sync is about 0.5s off at the end of intro animation here, buy a better pc) |

ok no problem, but it's normal that it runs better on your pc like it was programmed and tested on your pc, it's normal the sync is better on your.
Don't worry Toni i will not cry for just an intro of 1 game ... |

The synchronisation is a bit dodgy in places even on a real CD32.

thank you steven,
i had it and the real cd32 but i didn't play it on the real cd32 from years. I didn't remember it wasn't sync, then, there is nothing to do. |
