The PAL switch in the AGS menu works, but only temporarily until the first reset.
The main problem is, that PAL games are forced to run in NTSC mode by default, which causes various problems, eg. scroll tearing, incorrect screen position etc.
Are there any solutions for permanently switching between the PAL/ NTSC in this package?

I'm not sure if there is a self installer for AGS? If anyone has one please zone it

It depends what is considered no lag. There is a nice spreadsheet available showing input lag of many USB controller (and classic controller adapters):

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...#gid=836207500

Average lag varies from 0.7ms to over 30ms depending on the controller.

Does anyone know if Minimig supports .vhd files in addition to .hdf files?

Is anyone willing to test? I've uploaded into the zone EgyptianRun.zip. Unpack to get the .vhd file. It boots directly into the game "Egyptian Run". Just add it to Minimig as a hard drive.

I tested in WinUAE and it boots in regular Amiga 1200 and Amiga 500+ configs. It plays too fast on an Amiga 1200, but that's unrelated.

I just tested your EgyptianRun.vhd and wasn't able to get it to work (stays on kickstart screen). I think Minimig is supposed to support .vhd files but I'm not really sure.

Thanks for testing! It's a shame it didn't work. I guess .hdf will do!

I saw that but I was hoping .vhd support was there too. I don't know how similar they are to .hdf files where they could've magically just worked.

There is a test build of the Minimig core with RTG support now for those interested!

Yep very interested, thanks to everyone involved!

The MiSTer continues to evolve into a modern physical Amiga replacement

Hoping to get this working with ZDOOM RTG one day!

Okay finally got this working on my MiSTer, had a bit of trouble setting it all up.

For some reason it doesn't come with any mode settings? I end up using some random Voodoo settings file.

Anyway the good news that it works with AmiWolf RTG and probably ZDOOM too.

It doesn't seem to currently support CRT's unfortunately, hopefully that will be added soon.

Same here. It's nice that things like these are happening but personally I'm more interested in getting A1200 to a 1:1 state. I don't really use Amiga for productivity, strictly games so I guess RTG is not really "for me". Unless it can speed up the vanilla games?

It's not going to make any non-rtg games quicker.

The main reason I want it is to be able to run my workbench in a higher resolution in more colours, for games I'll probably run most of them in AGA.

I though I would share my recently completed MiSTer setup.

I've used the case and keyboard from a dead Amiga 500. Inside is the DE10-nano board with 128M RAM expansion, IO board and USB hub. The Amiga 500 keyboard is connected to an Arduio Leonardo which then acts as a USB keyboard.

On the back of the case there's a HDMI port, three USB ports, 2 Amiga compatable joystick ports and 3 buttons connected to the button inputs on the IO board.

Still setting up the software side of the MiSTer but so far everything seems to be working great.

RTG support is so good, really makes the MiSTer + CRT a great replacement for aging classic hardware

Forgive me if i've missed it, can anyone direct me...

Who builds, or where would i buy a Mister FPGA or Minimig thats prebuilt and in a case etc? I'm sure AmigaBill mentioned a guy doing this very recently, i'm looking to get back into my A1200 game collection and i want to do it on my 65" 4K TV (quite a new Sony, so needs HDMI fed into it). I've been looking at a RetroTink2X and a Goex drive (which looks ace) for my real A1200, but i don't even know if that machine even still runs and i've no way to test its video output (i think). These RetroTinks and OSSC's all seem to have lag and glitches too which is putting me off them. I've looked at the OSSC and read about the OSSC Pro coming but i bet thats going to be costly and i really only need an Amiga solution.

I'm fairly convinced this Mister FPGA solution would give me a close A1200 replacement, with HDMI output and small footprint. I have an 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ controller ready (for my other emulation pc project).

Anyone got some links. Oh, i'm in the UK and with the hold on imports, i guess it would have to be someone within the UK. Fingers crossed. Thanks.

OSSC and RetroTink have nearly zero lag, maybe a few scanlines. Probably not more than 50 micro seconds. It's lag tested and proved.

This a great controller, have it too. But since it runs via Bluetooth you can expect 20-25ms seconds lag. Compared to e.g. a 2.4GHz controller like the M30 from 8bitdo, which has app. 4ms.

Yep I think the MiSTer makes for an excellent A1200 replacement, the fact that it can also play amazing Genesis/SNES/DOS games with MIDI hardware and CRT support is the icing on the proverbial cake.
