Shadow of the Claymore Mine

Is ist just me, or does this sound quite simillar to Shadow of the Beast?

I listened to a lot of Tangerine Dream, but this was new to me.

Is the darn Korg longflute in the background!
THAT alone screams "Shadow of the Beast" far ten miles...
Whittaker did sample instruments from the choice of Reflections game developers, and they might have heard this one.
But i think Whittaker is a fan of Tangerine dream too (like me btw):
there are other songs where you can recognize some influences, like Song of the whale part one from Underwater Sunlight: (the xylophone) [warning: may cause goose bumps]

And looks like Huelsbeck is a fan too, hear this 3/4 beats from Turrican 3 that screams Tangerine dream far one mile!!!

Very similar rythmically to this portion of Desert Drive in Lily on the beach

Wow, I didn´t notice the connection to Huelsbeck nor to Song of the Whale as well, fascinating, thank you! Wonderful how everything is connected somehow.

If you like Tangerine Dream, also check out Isao Tomita and Yellow Magic Orchestra, I didn´t know both until last year.
