Need Help With Remembering Game

This has been driving me nuts for years!

There was a game either on Amiga or ST were you were in a 3d car that could shoot other cars in an arena. Between rounds/levels you could buy upgrades at a shop which had the slogan "boom boom billy, you buy they die".

I know this is not some game I dreamed up in my childhood for I'm not that creative.

Sorry I don't know much more than that.

That could be it but the cars were a bit more futuristic in my mind. It's first person car combat and this could be it. Have to see more.

Gah, have to wait to get home. On mobile. The fact it was a public domain game may be the reason I have never been able to find it though.

Battle Cars II was released also as Motor Duel.

I might as well ask one more game that's bugging me while I'm waiting to get home.

This one was an amiga game, played on my A500. It was a top down mech game with pretty awesome music, was action and again you could buy upgrades. When I say mech I don't mean the anime style more like robots, can't remember much more.

It's not steel empire.

That Battle Cars 2 looks kinda like the game i remember but it had a shop in between arenas were you could upgrade. Anyone remember any games like Battle Cars? This may be an Atari game. I am not sure..

The robot game I was looking was Universal Warrior

Still no luck on the car combat game. Its neither of the two mentioned.
