Nice!

ION: got the source for the 52/27 Firestorm Altera firmware, but stuff seems missing or wrong. 40/27 compiles to a binary that is identical to the old one online, the 52/27 does not.

There is solution for that, surely.

There are more solutions to have Amiga cases...

I would like to say thank everyone involved in the Sonnet/PCI PowerPC project. I think PPC belongs in a classic Amiga. If I had two wishes for the future, it would be definitely SheepShaver (no point in trying to fix iFusion PPC) and NetSurf PPC.

PS: I'm looking for a license key for AMP2

PS2: Thanks @Reynolds for the great Tower case

Torsti76 over at A1K also designed a PMC carrier board (FYI). And on Ebay there are still the 128MB G4 cards for 100 dollars (which can be upgraded to 256MB).

Do you know if Torsti76 is selling them, or if there are links to pcbway or something to build myself?

Also, which G4 cards are you referring to?

Just wanted to drop a big "THANK YOU HEDEON" to this thread. I managed to get one of those G4 PMC boards before the price exploded and just got it running (on first try, no less).

Like Torsti76, I didn't agree with the pricing of the PMC/CMC to PCI carrier boards being offered in the usual places and did my own design. I'm planning to release my PCB once properly tested, especially after finishing up with a somewhat adequate cooling approach.

That looks great. If you don't mind soldering some SMT resistors you can overclock the Apocalypse to 500MHz and beyond.

I am aware of clocking and memory options. My first priority is stability, though. My A4k still runs with its original PSU (after recapping) and I need to keep an eye out for power consumption.

It's works! - Great
Stability as priority
Option to overclock Apocalypse is great too, because Apocalypse doesn't have useful application like Ragnarok to overclock.

I'm just wondering if this card https://www.ebay.pl/itm/272102172228...Bk9SR86ZoovgYw
can work in Amiga? It is based on the MCP8349 which has an e300 core just like Killer NIC..

No clue. The seller doesn't state how much memory is on it and I also see Marvell chips on there.

Also too expensive to try it out.

According to documentation from NXP, the card supports.
DDR2: 512MB space 72bit wide (64bits data, 8bits ECC) Data rate: 400MHz.
Either way, we'll see when it comes.
It's time to take the next step after the PMC Carrier.

Basically a PowerQUICC II board, like the Killer NIC PowerQUICC I.
RAM appears to be an SO-DIMM on the top.
The Marvell chips looks to be for the ethernet ports.
The next step after the PMC carrier is just building a board.

Just as a general question, has anyone ever run MacOS on MAME?
Apparently recent builds of MAME support emulating some Quadras and crashy, semi working PowerMac 6100 support.

*EDIT*
After a little more reading emulating an 030 Mac is somewhat ok.
But since it's recent MAME, it's unlikely to run on anything like a Ragnarok or an Apocalypse.
