Unhappy Just can't remember...

There's two games whose names I just can't remember - the first I think was called Legends. It was an overhead rpg/zelda type of game, maybe aga only, released about 95/96. I can't find it anywhere though...
Also, a game I can'r remember much about: It was a side on/platform game where you could change into different animals (and I think a "spooky hand" map screen, but that might have been something else...)

Hope someone can help me with these...

Also, this message was posted to the wrong forum. The first half ofthe message should have been posted here (Requests\Game req) and the second part should be posted in Looking for a game name?

Be sure and vist the Amiga FAQ, tutorials & EAB's rules, as well.

Legends AGA

In the zone (2 DMS files in a zip archive).

Edit: oOops... It's 6 disks. Hang on a sec, and I'll up the ADF's.

Nah. It's definitely Legends. Very similar Zelda-em-up, but way more entertaining than Speris Legacy. If I could do that attach-a-shot-of-a-game thing, I would. Legends seems to be rather less well remembered than Speris Legacy, which is a real shame.

Trouble with Speris? Too many arbitrary and obscure puzzles. Lots of wandering about. Result: Not bad game.

Legends? Real variety and originality in level design. Bursting with character. A bit where you ride a mine cart and leap like Evel Knievel. Logical puzzles. Result: Excellent game.

Legends was written by Krisalis. According to AMIGA POWER, it was sat on for a year after being written, and released in UK in 1996 by Guildhall.

Thumbs up That's the puppy

Yep the first one was Legends AGA. I just don't remember it being on 6 disks though... that's aga for you I suppose

I think the second one was Odyssey but I can't get the adfs working yet (from pe2000.net). Too busy with Legends to fiddle at the moment.

Legends

Legends by Krisalis was NOT AGA!

It required 2 meg of chip ram.... how do I know this?

Because I was one of the team that worked on Speris Legacy and we were approached by Krisalis to convert Legends to OCS machines, because we 'were' originally going to do Speris on those machines.... problem was, 512k chip, 512kfast wasn't big enough for all the data, one level was too big!

Legends will run quite happily on an ocs setup with 2meg of chip ram if memory serves me right.

Both games bombed by the way!!!

Legends or Legend by Mindscape?

Do you mean Legend by mindscape ?
4 Heroes ( barbarian, Wizard, Ninja and A Musician ) - The wizard has to mix his own spells etc.

I love Speris. Being big fan of SNES style of RPG's, I find it and the like infinitely better than the graphics headaches that pollute the PC nowadays.

@rosco2002
For the record, he means the Krisalis version as he stated. Here's the scoop:

Legend (1990)(Scorpion/CRL)
Legend (1992)(Mindscape)
Legend - Son of the Empire (1993)(Mindscape)
Legends (1996)(Guildhall Leisure/Krisalis)(A1200 & CD³² versions)
