Quake 2 loading problems (save-games)
This is the case: I save my game in progress and quit Quake. Then i load it again and try to load the saved game and it crashes with a "PowerPC exception". But if i load the saved game in the same session i saved it then it loads up fine.
Any ideas? |

Think you have better chance on Amiga.org Have the game myself but haven't tried it yet since my Amiga 4000 arrived yesterday and I'm trying to get the old beast running which is a pain since I have little experience in "big box" amiga's and zorro cards etc. But I'm getting somewhere, going to give Freespace a try here now (still installing) |

My advice is the following:
"Dunno why you want to play that FPS game (methinks they're shit but to each one its own), even less such an old one when Quake 3 has been released, but your best bet is to sell that useless PPC board and get yourself a modern PC. If you hate Windows so much, Quake 2 runs on LInux!" there, I said it ;D |

It's just the thing that i want to play it on my Amiga. Besides i have a modern(?) pc and could play Quake 2 & 3 etc. on it but that's not the case. I'm interested in installing Linux but which one of those would be a good all-round option?

Quake 3 was released on Amiga?
If that's not the case... even Quake 3 is OLD OLD OLD |

Just in case if anyone wants to know i GOT the game-loading working . Too bad no Quake 3 for Amiga, but i think it would require the new AmigaOne (maybe with military specs), which i doubt i'd be buying for a long time. |
