Cruncher Factory / Down at the Trolls (aka Realm of the Trolls)

Hi there!

Can anyone tell me where I can find adf-files for the games "Cruncher Factory" and "Down at the Trolls" (aka Realm of the Trolls)? I found Cruncher Factory at planetemu.net, but the file doesn´t work. It always crashes down after intro

Cruncher Factory http://planetemu.net/index.php?secti...owrom&id=19894 works fine for me with WinUAE 0.8.25 with A500 settings.

Hello itsmee,

Welcome to EAB

Non-TOSEC versions of both games are now in The Zone! for you

I haven't tested them though...

Realms of the Trolls is 2MB ADF, but works without problems. Really strange game:
- pits from nowhere
- harmless enemies (?)
- odd sounds
- no music on title screen or in game
- no weapon (?)
- weird menu screens

Yeah, but I LOVED that game.
I had "Down at the Trolls" then on my A500. It was obviously a "bigger" version of the game, had even two or three disks, and a title screen with quite nice music.
The trolls hit you, and with the blue and red buttons on the menu on the right side you can throw fireballs and make holes.

I am the creator of the 2mb extended adf. I made it from a rainbow arts compilation. The game is known to use atari ST tracks (some sort of shitty bollocks disk side reading + short tracks >:/)

The Power Play review, for some nostalgic feelings.

@dlfrsilver

I have an extended ADF with 1.455.596 bytes from you too, is it corrupted? Never tried it.

strange since ROTT is a very old and crap game. I don't see why it would use
2 or 3 disks, since my original only crave 330 kb on the disk.

Maybe you're talking of the sequel of the game ?

Down at the Trolls and Realm of the Trolls are not the same game, just using the same game engine.

Thanks IFW, then if the game is 3 disks it's a crack.

then the hol reference is bad.

I've been hunting for Realm of the Trolls and it brought me here, I don't seem to have it in my TOSEC/CAPS/SPS stuff, can anyone point me in the right direction?

If you used GameBase Amiga you'd have it

I'll post it in the zone for you anyway.
