I can't run it, but I like the box, and the fact we waited so long might just buy it anyhow, might be worth something in years to come (hopefully)
Be like all those people who baught Windows 95 and never even had a PC now thats effective marketing, Amiga inc really needs to follow that example |

I dont see any practical benefit from it...
It can only run on PPC (pointless proprietary chipset) thats locks a user into an incredibly limited path.... bah... this argument has been done to death already... just gimmie the source and i will compile the fucking thing for x86! thats what us miggy vets want.... an afordable, robust real-time os that has a transparent 68k /ocs-ecs-aga emulation! thats what we damn want not some fucking 10 year old hardware that met its match by the fucking power of my mobile phone! bah.... getting pissed of going over it.... big whoop for hyperon IF they get it realeased... only because (if i am lucky) it fucks A.Inc i the arse..... other than that i just dont give a .... fucking flying..... shhhh.... boing ball... :/ |

Zetro, we already had it. Then in-fighting between the main developer and his sidekick snatched it from our hands.
Yes, I'm talking about Amithlon. The only "neo-Amiga" product I saw any future in. Amiga on x86. 68k and x86 code running side by side in harmony. PCI/AGP access. Accelerated drivers for a few common graphics boards. All RTG software ran without modification. Yes, I *bought*, not pirated it. I believed in it so much. Not long after that, they cancelled it, made it illegal to sell and started the lawyer game. Now we can never have it. The fastest most compatible Amiga ever. Not ours. Someone plunk a shitload of cash on Bernie Meyer, Umilator is what is still the future of the Amiga, not OS4, not MorphOS. AROS is close to the dream, but Amithlon/Umilator was THERE. Throw cash on Bernie or a 68k emulator for AROS. Perhaps the latter is even a better idea? |

And yes to be honest, you are right i allso want to see amiga os4 for x86 processors..if that becomes reality the amiga community gets a big boost...

that would be insane! at least b/c-vision should have support, they are both companions to the ppc accelerators! not to mention how furstrating is the missing g-rex support! they claim that they don't support it because of documentation lack....!
