Spectrum and Scandoubler not auto-switching

I got round to buying the adapters and hooking up my scandy1200 SD to my Spectrum gfx card.

The manual says to just plug standard Amiga output into the input port (9pin) and then have the lead going to the monitor going from the output port (15pin)

So to hook up my scandy1200 output (15pin) into my spectrum input (9pin) I bought a few adapters and such.

However, whenever I load up a non-RTG compatible game or app it doesn't switch and the monitor goes black. I need to plug the monitor directly into the scandy1200 to get the output.

I have done what it has said in the manual. No joy.

Ive included images of my cabling.

Are you kidding? The spectrum is one of the most reliable RTG cards! Whats the point of spending more for something you already have.

Also I think the wiring is wrong. The manual has some info on building your own pass-thru cables. Ill upload the manual pages in a sec.

Ok here are the 3 pages from the manual.

Is it possible for anyone to make a HD15 (Male) to DSUB 9pin (Female) using these pinouts and info? I will happily pay for one.

Probably, if I still have a video connector. OTOH I might just have a 23-9 adaptor that does the job. If I can find it, I'll check the pin outs and see if matches or what would be needed to cross connect on a cable.
