Elbox computers the Oscar Schindler link...

Hi all,

I have been suspicious about how genuine this sign was on top of the "alledged" Elbox computers HQ. From Elbox homepage;

So I set to with some google earthing last night and noticed that Elbox computers HQ is in or very close to the Factory where Oscar Schindler housed Jewish refugees...

Have a look.

Nothing derogatory at all regarding Oscar Schindler, the plight of the Jews or indeed the working conditions at Elbox.

I am simply commenting on the locality of Elbox offices, and their dodgy looking sign.
Has anyone physically seen the Elbox offices?
Are the offices for real, or are they simply gloss for a group of bedroom hardware hackers?

Sorry if it sounded that I thought you are derogatory. I just didn't know what the thread was about, but now I do
I hope one of our polish friends can shed some light on this

I very much doubt they have an office. They cannot have enough business from Amiga to afford one. Surely it is run from someone's home office with the parts stored in their garage?

Or they have a second part to their business.

http://elbox.net.pl appears to be a completely different company?

Yup elbox.net.pl is certainly in a different city.

Does the word ELBOX have any meaning in Polish? (or is it just ELectronic BOX ??)

http://elbox.pl/eng/start.php - the company here is EL-BOX I suspect a totally separate company...

It would appear so. They are all in different parts of the country.

http://elbox.net.pl = Rogowiec
http://elbox.pl = Warsaw
http://elbox.com = Krakow <- This is the Amiga one

From which of the three sites is it? I guess elbox.com is the one producing Amiga hardware.

On elbox.com Vesalia is listed as a shop for their products. For whom are they faking this? For us poor retro guys?

Sorry, just wanted to say that they deal with real companies and need to fake a sign on some building. Nobody who lives in Krakow here? Would be very interesting to know what company is at the given address.
