Frontier Elite II
Ok, the game doesn't need to be WHDified as it already has, but I was just wondering if it is possible to remove the copy protection from the game entirely. I.e. Currently you dock and it still asks for for a letter, but as it is cracked you can enter anything, I was wondering if this could be removed entirely as it is quite annoying. I'm sure I have actually played a cracked version of the game that didn't have the question at all.
Considering I find the question annoying itself, I think I would go mad playing an uncracked version and having to check the manual constantly. |

Now you've done it
half the fun of elite was in the middle of crucial assignments getting questioned on docking for that info .
You were never sure if it was just a fine or another more serious game ending reason those police screens signaled. Otherwise a skilled player would have NO suprises or do you also cheat to get bigger faster ships with the dump cheat system ? In which case why bother at all? Just stick to playstation or x-box games And I thought you were a real retro fan |

Obviously your not having a good day
you finished your first entry stating
" I think I would go mad having to play an uncracked version and having to check the manual constantly " Hence my point is self explanatory I know you must be going through IRC withdrawl elite II is a game with little contact other than when you the player request it Only police checks and fines etc for getting caught are NOT predictable By removing one of the few variables you have less game IMHO However please chill its a game you can only play well if your patient because its not really an action game , its strategy. This thread is for WHD games my question is why use what is in fact a cheat mode ? If it is made an option within the save / edit screen OK But not as a standard otherwise it's just another hacked game |

How is removing the copy protection a cheat? I want the screen removed that asks you for the letter from the manual, which is the copy protection, how is that cheating? That doesn't remove ANYTHING from the game other than the copy protection. It DOESN'T remove the police checks, it DOESN'T remove the fines, it JUST removes the manual check screen, which is NOTHING to do with cheating or the game. Please read what I have said and play the game. |
