Are you buying Amiga X1000?

I was shock on how much it is going cost...£1,500.....if does sell well then it is possible to have cut down versions called X500 in affordable price...

My questions....Are you buying it and if yes

why do you want Buy Amiga X1000?

How good is Amiga X1000?

Will they have new games for it?

When they going to release the system? Before Xmas?

  • Absolutely not.
  • It will be as lame as the Pegasus / AmigaOne. Overpriced and terribly underpowered.
  • There will only be ports of opensource homebrew titles. No new mainstream games.

You can buy it as PC but you should forgot about "Amiga" part.

On the 'Stuff that makes TCD sad about the current Amiga... something' list, that one surely has a top position, but it was beaten by that Commodore US thingy...

Computers such as the X1000 aren't Amigas, they're just PPC (or something )+peecee parts. Underpowered and overpriced. It's similar to the so called 'Amiga' peecee, not an Amiga at all (just a peecee with Amiga stickers and Aros, some Amiga).

So, no, I will most certainly not spend my money on that kind of thing. If I would spend that kind of money on a computer, it would be a beastly peecee.

I will try certainly buy one, and then resell it on ebay at north of $5000.

But if you are an EAB member I can give you a discount, so lets say $4999

Nope sorry, not an Amiga in my book. Just a PPC PC (like everyone else says), I didnt buy an A1 either for the same reason.

The NatAmi (Or Boxer!) I WOULD buy though, even if it was £1500.
