Well by this point everything was cost reduced, you just have to see the turn around time of the CD32 compared to the CDTV, twice as quick in under probably a 10th of the budget, the developer kit page count is a 10th of the size, everything was done on a budget to get that machine out, tbh it's a miracle looking back they managed to get it out with the resources that had left, so at least we can be grateful for that

Yeah, sad... same goes for 2/4MB of fast ram thrown in the mix, wouldn't have hurt!

Would have been nice, but simply to expensive to add.

The Amiga was never about chucking memory or faster CPUs at them to solve things (that was always PC’s).

The AGA chipset simply didn’t have good enough custom processors to take the work load off the CPU, you only have to look at the Jaguar specs 2MB ram and 68000 CPU, but its the custom GPUs that delivered more power than a 68030 and fastram could deliver on the Amiga in terms of Doom performance, and it only cost them tens of dollars compared to a couple hundred.
