Sorry if this has been discussed before but the search engine doesn't bring it up. Does anyone know anything about this device?

http://www.av-sales.co.uk/JS-RGB-VGA-139-30.htm

The price seems more reasonable than things like the XRGB-3. But it doesn't actually specify whether it deinterlaces or scan doubles. I guess it must?

Ooops, I found another place selling it with a note at the bottom, which says:

LCD screens are also not compatible because LCDs tend to start operating with a horizontal line frequency of 30kHz and not 15kHz as required by this device designed for plasma screens.

So what does this box do exactly - not much it seems!

Basically it's a sync splitter. Scart sources have composite sync but projectors and certain plasma tvs expect separate sync.

It also takes the audio out to a pair of RCA jacks.

I think this particular unit is priced a bit high for what it does. The Cypress CSR-2200 can be had for half the price.

@Jope i think is not a simple sync splitter.. is a video signal converter, perhaps working with Amiga RGB/S but not sure for Super high resolution

Glad you said that, was thinking the same.
