Caveman coinop-not joe&mac

I played a caveman game on mame a while back and now I can't remember or find it again. There was a caveman And it was a bit like cavemen ninja but bigger sprites and better graphics. I seem to remember it was a newer game, possibly mid or late 90s.
There was a monster at the end of the first level like a dinosaur that worked a bit like the level 1 boss of the platformer in 3 wonders.
Sorry for being so vague.
Any ideas?

Not bad, but i'm looking for a side-scroller and the sprites were quite big.

And the character in control was the cave man type thing.

Are you sure it was MAME? You can see platform / shooter scrolling games here http://mamedb.com/category/Platform/...olling?start=0

Superb thanks for the link - but it's none of those. I'll have to have another look through the rom set I have.

It could quite possibly have been caveman ninja which is the original release of the game. The arcade featured better sound, larger sprites, and more visual effects than the console releases. Check out the Caveman Ninja heading for mame and see if that looks right.
