Can I use a wide scsi drive on a narrow scsi bus?
Can I use wide scsi drive on a narrow scsi bus?
I want to connect my BlizzardPPC 603e+ to an ACARD AEC-7720UW plugged to an IDE drive. Is it possible to do it only by using a 68 to 50 pin male to male adapter? Thanks in advance |

It is possible, but you have to use a pair of active terminators, otherwise the SCSI chain will go bananas!

Two terminators?
I have an active one, 50 pins with passthru. Where should I place the other one? |

Sack the 50 pin one and use two active ones.
Wide SCSI is 16bit, so a 8bit terminator will only terminate the lower bits, leaving the upper data path no-terminated. |
