Exclamation Breakpoint 2008

What, no breakpoint thread at EAB?

...

So, any good stuff you've watched?

From what I've seen up to now, Pimp My Spectrum in the pc64k category is the bestestest!

Remember to watch Amiga Demos at 2200 (GMT+1 time)
More info at: Time table

Downloads should appear at: http://breakpoint.untergrund.net/download.php?dir=2008/

PS: The fun/crazy compo was... ... ... sad... very *sad*...

Wow, the PS3 demo by Bonzaj and the Plasticks ruled.
And I'm not saying that because most of the crew was polish, honest...
But "our" guys didn't had to sing that religious polish song after the demo...

Stupidest thing I've ever seen.
A bunch of drunken guys had to throw some metallic parts at the inside of an old pc they've put on it's backside.
They had screws, and stuff like that and the first one to blackout the screen was to win.
So, the first one threw something, it went black, rebooted, but only to the bios checkup.
The 2nd one threw a few screws which wasn't enough, and I think it was the 3rd one who finally got it black'd.
So he won.
There was also one of the guys that flooded it with beer afterwards.
yay.
The commentator had a 10 minute speech before that, and the "compo" itslef took 20 seconds.
Oh yeah, the winner could take that pc home...

Amiga demos:

(in order of appearance)

1. unique
One nice liquid effect, too short.

2. drifters
An awesome, long, nostalgic, synchronized digitized movie. A500 & A1200. Comparison of effects from the '88 and '08. Very cool. Must see!

3. rno& brainstorm
A few nice effects and pictures, pretty long but nothing new...

4. tulou
Nice 3D objects, digitized speech, a bit too short though...

5. nature & traktor
Cool drum'n'bass music, really nice 3D models in a 3D world.

6. elude - soliloguy
Great 3d objects. Great photos. Great light/fluid effects. Great music. Digitized speech. Very atmospheric. Must see! Oh, it's a Polish production :]

I guess so I'm not sure I copied it from amiga demoscene forum but your list looks right ...

now looking at your list and thinking about the participants ... it seems elude will make it this year.

I went to Breakpoint last year and i am bleeding i couldn't go this year, but i "am" from Australia so financially its a bummer!

As far as TBL goes, i think after Starstruck they probably can't be bothered with the Amiga anymore... I think we will find from this point forward that TBL will no longer do Amiga productions, although this is not inside information, just my personal opinion.

I don't think that's true ... I see kalms and some other members surfing Amiga forums and posting, so they're probably still not said their final words

I got some semi-inside information (from friends that were at bp08) that some groups (especially farbe, and maybe ASD) were holding for NVision (or NVScene, whatever it is).
