Ghost floppy

Hi,

I have one question....

My A1200 have three floppy drives, one internal and two external. All drives work fine, without any problem.

But on WB 3.1, OS 3.9 clean, and OS 3.9 BB1 sometimes appears on the screen a "Ghost floppy". For example, I insert a floppy on DF2: and appeas a "Ghost" DF0:???? or DF0:Unreadable, also if I insert on DF0: the "Ghost" appears like DF3:unreadable or DF3:??????. I don´t have DF3: !!!!!

All work fine, because if I insert discs on DF0: and DF2: and format or copy at the same time, the unit make tasks very good and discs are completelly readables.

Finally if I install OS 3.9 BB2 "Ghost" floppys don´t appear anymore.

My mobo is A1200 1D4 and floppys are:

DF0: PC unit modified only on the internal PCB
DF1: Real external Amiga unit
DF2: PC modified. This is a very good job from a spanish man with all hardware self-designed. It´s a floppy drive with a external PCB to make possible the connection on the external floppy port of the Amiga.

I have only had this occur when using PC drives. I suggest you try to replace at least DF0: with a proper drive.

Strange that BB2 eliminates the problem, though. Maybe you could take whatever is fixing the problem out of that and run it on 3.1.
