Yeah, apologies about the spammage peeps, the first page of this thread is blocked by my work firewall! I'm aware now that the full AGA version exists - well done to all involved for finding this
Will probably sit down tonight to see if I can get the HD install compiled onto a CD32 disc so I can play it on real HW (as I've done in the past with other games). If I can get it working, I'll post up an .iso asap |

An .iso for those with a CD32 would be nice.

Just make sure you remove the SSF2 DX boot pic from your ISO Heavy Stylus
I ment to ask you why dont you display the Splash screen for WHDload games? |

Who came up with the SSF2 DX boot pic routine? Was that you? If so, well done mate!Took me a bit of time to figure out how that worked, but seriously, that is a really useful (and small and simple) little menu system
If it is you, I'll make sure you get a credit. Apologies for not doing this sooner; it completely slipped my mind to look into who designed the boot routine (I actually just assumed it was just a standard rout that had been used before) - you should have pm'ed me if you were upset by my blatant re-use! I don't want to go back over the whole WHDLoad thing again here, other than saying that I do credit the slave authors on my download page, as well as leaving all documentation on disc. The reason for not showing the spash screen is because I use a config file to change everything black to keep the boot sequence looking as CD32-authentic as possible. If I get this one working, I'll ensure everyone involved gets a mention on the game info screen. |

No worries mate - I'm glad there are no hard feelings then! Anyway, when I next get around to doing an update, I will ensure that you are (at last) finally given the credit you deserve
Would you like me to host a mirror of SSF2 DX on my site? |

Well, this *is* interesting. The Trog game on the confused pelican site will not work on a 2MB amiga! Does anyone fancy taking a look to see why? I find it hard to believe such a simple ECS/OCS game could need more than 2MB!

Well, after a couple of evenings trying to get a Confused Pelican compilation disk for the CD32 to work, I have finally (after relearning the tedious CD32 iso creation process) managed to get a Morton AGA and Erik working on a disc.
I had originally planned to include Morton (ECS) and Trog, but neither of those wanted to play ball with the CD32 :P I suspect that I *could* get Morton (ECS) working via JST, or wait until a WHDLoad build is available, but to be honest I doubt anyone would be that bothered about playing the smaller 60 level version on the CD32 when the 80 level AGA version is now available. Trog completely failed to work because it requires more than 2MB! In UAE it won't even run on a basic A1200 set up! I suggest that the more technically minded peeps out there have a look into this, and fix it if possible. So anyway, expect a release later this weekend. |

LOL
Whoops, I should have guessed that you had done a patch StingRay! I was going by the HOL entry for the game, which currently states 'No WHDLoad Patch'! Anyway, unless anyone wants it added to the disc, I'll stick to using the superior AGA build of the game StingRay, could you check out: http://www.confused-pelican.com/amiga/discs/trog.adf I seriously doubt that this really requires more than 2MB to play, but if you could confirm why it throws up a memory error on a 2MB machine then I'd really appreciate it! |

(BTW, I used the original files for the AGA version; there was no need for me to use WHDLoad for that one).
Also, if someone has Dave Parson's email then I can check he is OK with me making a CD32 version. |
