Photon,

Using the memtest you kindly placed in the zone, I was able to test all 128 megs without any errors. I did not run the long tests. The only problem is WHDLOAD games still work better with the 8mig SIMM installed. I get a lot of "recoverable alerts" with the 128 meg SIMM. Any ideas?

Yeah, and I shall run the mbrtest on the MX1230A disk on mine...

btw, if you take a look at the startup-sequence on the disk it has a script to find "safe" timings for your 128MB stick, if for some reason it fails to run at its specified speed.

Yeah if you boot from the floppy it tests down from 80-40ns and checks for errors. The problem with this is that when booting from the floppy it shows the 128 meg SIMM as 8 megs with 120 megs of "Other" memory that it doesn't test. Weird. Anyway that program guru's when testing all 128 megs of ram at any speed.

I still haven't done the memtest long tests on all 128 yet. I am thinking of buying one of the 64 meg SIMMS intended for the Blizzard cards from Amigakit. Does anyone know if those will work?

It has been a while since we have had a MBX1230 in stock but I think our 64MB SIMMs will work.
