DOSBox of couse, there's no way I could get a GUS here... nor care enough to do so...
How about you or AMIGAZ record the intro and/or the whole ingame music from Settlers in various versions so we could check? Personally I love that tune, even if I played the game quadrillions of times |

Thanks AMIGAZ.
Thanks for the excellent recordings you made. Very nice and clear sound. Just curious, how many pc soundcards do you have ready to fire up? |

have a bunch of retro game PC's here along with the Amiga's So these recordings was made from three different pc's, they all had some sort of real Creative Sound Blaster, some Gravis Ultrasound model, Roland Lapc-I or a Roland MPU-401 compatible card connected to my Roland CM-500 The pc's in question were a 386DX 33mhz, 486DX4 100mhz and a Cyrix 5x86 120mhz equipped old pc's |

If you also throw in an Ensoniq Sounscape for example it can be worse...the you just initialize it with a seperate config in your autoexec.bat/config.sys You can even have several sound blaster cards in the same system if you jumper them to use different resources and use DOS multiboot config's....a rule is to try and avoid PnP cards in a pure DOS box PC |
