How to make or adapt a keyboard to work on a cdtv ?

hi in my shop I have a cdtv that is missing the keyboard is there any way to make a keyboard that will work on it. All the instructions I find are for making the cdtv keyboard work on cd32 / a4000. I need the instructions on how to adapt a keyboard of any kind to run on the cdtv I have access to a amiga 500 keyboard if it helps

You'll need to pull out the usual Pin 2, as it's blanked off on the CDTV port, but this should get you there:
