CF card booting in Winuae but not on real Amiga 4000
Hi,
I tried digging for the last couple of days and never came up with a definitive solution for this. I managed to partition and format my 4gb CF card in Winuae with SFS file system and all is well and it boots fine (200mb boot partition and 4 other partitions) however when I plug it in my A4000 via IDE-CF adapter it is not recognized at all either in workbench (HDtools) or the boot menu. The led's on the adapter light up so I know that it is getting power but the activity light never comes on. I have not tried external power to the adapter but am just using the 40pin IDE. Have tried changing Master/Slave setting to no avail either. If I hook up my IDE hard-disk to the IDE it is recognized just fine. Took me forever to get this CF card setup in Winuae and it is frustrating that I got it that far but can't use it in my real migy! Thanks in advance, Tim |
