Got a 1MB PCMCIA RAM card for mine. Shame that I wanted the RAM upgrade so I could use the 600 as a web server - the network card is PCMCIA too.

It works a treat for PCMCIA networking, as a matter of fact, the A600's PCMCIA port doesn't have that bug the A1200 port has, which needs a software or hardware patch.-

Got a surf squirrel connected to my A600 via the PCMCIA. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work when I connect SCSI devices to it (no matter what HiSoft ever did claim in the past), but the high speed serial port works a treat, especially in combination with the 030 card.

Your card must be 16 bits, 5V Type II, and it should appear in the compatibility list of teh CNET or 3Com devbice. Otherwise forget it.
Then again, 2MB will let you do pish all with it. I know I tried, it's not worth it, Miami alone will let you with 200K of memory at the most. |

A serial cable is a good way to go. They only cost between £5 and £10. Download "Twin" from the Aminet (http://de.aminet.net) and use that to transfer files - the archive includes both a PC version and an Amiga version.
The PC version works fine with everything up to WinME, but I've never tried to use it with 2K or XP. |

Yeah man, crossdos is dumb when you can serial transfer.. no more headaches trying to fit 800KB files in a 720KB disk :P

Personally I used it for connecting the Squirrel SCSI interface and a CD drive, so that I could use the Aminet CDs .
