The one and only real GREEK crack?? :)
Searching my old floppies, I discovered my Oil Imperium disk! This was my first (and last??) attempt to crack a game and I did it when I lost my photocopied codes sheet (I had bought the game from some guy with a parrot on his shoulder). Quite a nice game, I just added an RTS in the beginning of the code requesting subroutine, and... voila! Sorry for the stolen Classic Intro, I just wanted to introduce myself (yep, Mitsaras The Great) in a fancy way, to impress some friends, back in time! Note, that this deprotection, which I believe is the first done by Greek hands, might be older than the Quartex one that can be found around, but I don't remember the exact date! And yes, it might also be the one and only greek crack!! I see that there are more Greek Amigans in here, if anybody has something like this, (except of game compilations done by several Greek 'groups'), I'd like to see it! The ADF is uploaded in The Zone, for anyone interested

Hi Commie1974. I haven't done anything like that on the Amiga, but used to be an active cracker on the CPC. Unfortunately, all my work was given away in exchange of an Atari ST ram expansion!

@ManicX:
Amstrad??? Hehe, back in 1985 I was a Speccy maniac, I had a dream of putting inf lives to BombJack, but I only managed this after many years with the Z80 Dos Zx emulator with built in disassembler, on my brother's 486, hehe! BTW, a wise decision to swap the crappy CPC @Keropi: DOS cracking? Quite a nightmare!! I did the same job with some little utils for CP/M, on my good old C128! I also managed to read the level codes for MegaLoMania & SuperFrog, with my A500 & the excellent RossiMon, this was quite a success at the time! Also released the only?? *stolen* intros from World of Wonders and Invisible Crime, with modified gfx and GREEK charsets done by me, for the scrollers, hehe! Yeppp, we greeks, rule!! |
