Schematics Collection!

Wow, thanks to some serious thread necromancy, this thread still lives, thanks for everyone whom contributes to it with not only their own ideas and schematics, but also their questions, queries and comments!

Some updated and re-found images -

Connecting an ATX PSU to an Amiga

Please note that Commodore did not follow any real standard of colour coding - so what you get may not be what you see here in that regard - always check the output!

FYI - Stedy has a great web-page with all the info you need to get it working =)

Internal Audio Mixer

If you have an internal Optical Drive and want to mix the native audio and the CD audio together - this little ditty will help.

FYI - From real world efforts, I would humbly suggest using 20k resistors on the CD / AUX inputs but leave the Amiga Audio Input at 10k levels.

Some Rocker Switch Banking Configs

This was made for fellow EAB'er "Smiley"

QDS Triple Kickstart Changer

QDS Layout overview

3D Overview

FYI - Its much easier these days to look at work done by Kipper2k or REDSKULL - so give them a search!

Micronik Z3i BusBoard Layout

FYI - I am pleased I found this one, its quite relevant as I have had a few members of the community ask me about this one

all the schematics I post here are all available from here

*I designed this with Smiley from existing plans on aminet, doulbe check first before use guys.*

------------------

CF -> IDE mounting guide.

an idea inspired by Electroblaster in a convo about external cf hdd encasing...

------------------

A500 Keyboard Mod

p1. the motherboard port

p2. the keyboard cable

p3. cant remeber the reason for this bit lol

I think I put these schematics together for fingers for a mod we were discussing.

[edit] I just remembered, this mod would allow you to plug this into a 5pin DIN port and still be able to keep the A500 as a keyboard including the LED's!
------------------

A1200 Mouse port

Heres the pinout for the A1200 mouse port, this came about as there was a specific mobo revision and some one needed a cable.

------------------

Micronic Power adapter

this came about with the help of lopos2000, whom scaned me a manual! cheers m8y

-------------------

Joystick / Mouse manual switcher

for my m8 Fingerz who had a cool idea on putting on more ports to the front of his a600 / a500 mod

[edit: I suggest using a dual switch here and toggling both +5V and GND between the connectors. When swapping between two joysticks, GND is sufficient, but if you want to swap between a mouse and joystick, the +5V is critical, as the mouse will pull some lines up / down when powered. -Jope]

------------------

and of course theres freds shirt!

why no one commented on this i will never know... its hillarious!
------------------

you can configure and wire up the a500 in the same manner as the 1200 or 600. so heres how under an atx psu

and here the regular fitting

------------------

heres a pinout from the AT - PSU (P8 / P9) connectors... i figure it should be easy to extrapolate the required configuration from the two schematics

These would be a great addition to the wiki plus I'm sure the folks over at GameSX would be interested in a copy as well.

nice collection

Could you maybe downscale the pictures, so they where smaller in the thread, and so you could get them normal size by clicking on them. THat would make it easier to look at and get a more usefull overview

I keep getting a failure when trying to open the remotely-hosted pics...but for sure I'll be saving these man...this stuff is gold!

PZ.

p.s. Just as a larf...the error number is 500

p.p.s Can't open AmiBay either, so it must be a guildserver.co.uk issue. I'll try again tomorrow night

one schematic from me (actually only a pinout) keyboard pinout for rev2B a1200 mobos. You can connect an Amiga keyboard directly (no need for PLLC socket)
