AGA & OCS in the same game

Those few games that have dual chipset formats within the same game (there are no two separate versions) do they actually show aesthetic differences or other differences that can be highlighted?

Do you remember what games have this dual formats chipset in the same game?

Alien Breed Tower Assault.

Easy to overlook these on a list of games which benefitted from the A1200. It may not have been the same quantum leap as the A500 was five years earlier, but I was jealous of those who did have it, once the amount of enhanced games outweighed the amount that didn't work on it (some of which were officially fixed)/

It was far too common for the AGA version to be released separately from the ECS one (sometimes at a higher price). It's understandable when the original game was released or in development before the A1200 was released (eg Pinball Fantasies, Zool, Chaos Engine, Civilization) or if the AGA version was released first due to being ported down from the PC (eg UFO, SimLife), but not when both versions should have been in development simultaneously. PC owners didn't have to rebuy a game when they upgraded from CGA to EGA, or EGA to VGA, all the graphics were on the same disk. I know some publishers offered cheap disk exchanges, but not all.

Yes, only slight differences in most games, colour wise or some games have an extra parallax layer or more onscreen objects hard to see in screenshots.

The most absurde policy being probably Ocean one releasing fake AGA version of ECS games separatly.

Had Commodore put the same HD floppy drive in the A1200 than on the A4000 (which would have been logical since you would'nt expect anyone to support HD Drive if its cut you the basic AGA market), I always wondered if it was possible to make dual ECS/AGA games with the base ECS game and the shared gfx/sounds/code of both version on one side of the floppy and every AGA enhancement on the other.
It would have maybe helped a little developpers to support AGA better by just putting the already existing VGA gfx on one side of the floppy) but that suppose that Commodore was having a support developpers policy.

I'm not even sure if there if the AGA version of Shaq Full is a real AGA game or another fake AGA game from Ocean like Jungle Strike or Burnin Rubber.

Yes it does have AGA graphics, you need them side by side to make it easier but they at least made a little effort there!

there is no enhanced sound of GFX in uridium 2 , however the game load faster on the A1200 because the 68020 is faster loading/decrunching

in arcade pool when you load in the A1200 says graphics: enhanced

but I haven't seen any enhanced graphics over the game played on a standard A500 so ....I think is bullshit
