That is a weird game though. The name seems to have been changed to (for some reason) relate it to the Skweek franchise, but the characters in the game seem to be the ones from Fury of the Furries. |

Resident Evil 7.
I'm 13 minutes in, absolutely nothing has happened, and yet I'm completely terrified. The atmosphere is that good. Looking forward to some hillbilly horror. |

It ramps up the atmosphere/creepiness vs playing it "normally" a heck of a lot. Great game regardless, but I absolutely loved it in VR. |

At least we had DD2 which was pretty good, lets just pretend that DD1 and DD3 don't exist

Had a chance to quickly glance at Hogwarts Legacy on PC with Max gfx settings in 4K, Ray tracing, DLSS & Frame Generation.
Upfront I was very impressed. I'll look at investing more time into that game over the coming days. The other pc game that has my attention is Atomic Heart. |

Playing Starlit Adventures at the moment.
I dont even remember downloading it, but decided to see what it is when I noticed I had it installed on my XBox Series X. 3 hours later and I realised I must be enjoying it. Very simple retro style platformer, but pretty good fun and addictive. In fact Ive enjoyed it enough that I started making a clone for Amiga tonight. Simple enough that I can focus most of the hardware resources on visuals. Had always wanted to make a game using EHB, but this is the 1st time Ive been able to without sacrificing performance. Expect me to showcase progress in an appropriate thread in the near future |

It's far from a good conversion, but Ive always thought it was an ok game if you disregard the original arcade game, especially in 2 player mode. Its entirely possible though that its one of those instances where having fun playing a 2 player game with friends as a kid kind of made the quality (or lack thereof) almost inconsequential, but I always remember having fun with it. Im not willing to risk playing it again though out of fear of destroying fond memories I made that mistake trying to watch the Astro Boy cartoon again a handful of years ago and still regret it |

I agree with that hypothesis. What was particularly novel was the ending where after working together for the whole game you are forced to turn on each other! You don't get THAT in Golden Axe! |

So last week I beat OutRun for the first time and yea pretty fun arcade game. This week I beat Dynasty Wars as a way to deal with the stress of my family being over. I needed a hack n slash to calm me down.

Been playing Wario Ware: Smooth Moves on the Wii and Loaded on the Saturn. Very, very, much Loaded. From the beginning four times, actually, with the final run seeing me beating the game. Better than expected, worse than it should be.

If I'd have been given that arcade game 2D powerhouse rather than a console that's best game is Micro Machines 2, I think I'd have carried on playing Daytona and Virtua Fighter while being annoyed I'd been cheated out of a PS1 personally! Let's assume he meant he got a Master System and leave it at that! That's at least more plausible than him actually WANTING a Saturn but then a number of people in my local independent game shop were going doolally for 'Nights into Dreams' back in 1995/96 when I was trying to get my hands on Knights of the Sky! Confusion played out as they thought I'd come to join the cult Last edited by BigD; 02 March 2023 at 03:57. |

Started playing Final Fantasy XV. Interesting take on an open world game. The emo looking main characters are a bit much, but then again I guess that's how Cloud from FFVII would have looked like given better graphics. The combat is a bit chaotic, but the exploration is pretty good.

Just know that as soon as you step into the boat, the game literally and figuratively puts you on rails. So stretch out that open world part as long as you can.

Hmm, good to know. I was wondering if it would last for most of the game.

Nope... 50%-60% of it. The latter half was so terrible I couldn't believe it.
