All going along nicely. Currently building a prototype reflow oven where we will test the process (to find out about things that could go wrong during "mass production"), once that is fine, we will call for interest for a first production run.

Nice, I think it's great to see all of these Classic HW developments. I'm almost tempted to buy a 500 just so that I can play with some new HW

Great.
It's really cool to have a fully expanded A500 with just one expansion. To me RAM and the Action Replay MK III mean the most. But I am sure there will be many which appreciate the pure speed of 50MHz with really great compatibility the most. |

What kind of RAM will you be using with regards to speed?
Will there be wait states at 50MHz? |

Will need to check... Why not check the first few posts with the Sysinfo pics in the meantime?

looking at a picture of the pcb in an earlier post, it seems you are using 7ns SDRAM,
so there should be no waitstates. |

ATM I can confirm our new reflow oven is working fine already and the new protos seem to be fine.
I now have to wait for the Chinese new year ceremony to come to an end, as I can't get enough supply of the CPUs we use quickly enough over here. We're making progress! |

Great,
I just tried to order boards for my projects and no one is working over there until 7th Feb, probably a good time to invade lol. What model reflow oven are you using ? |

The magic pizza oven.
Actually a bog standard pizza oven with a reflow controller. Not 100% perfect, but already yields 100% working results. |

ATM this is just for protos, but I'll remind Herzi to do some pics.
It's a little guerilla style and I would not want to use it for mass production, but the heat curve is already pretty stable and ok so, fine for us for our own needs. |
