Well, it's finished heh
From the change log: Been busy moving house and doing other things but this update is huge... So huge we're actually finished! Added Disks 451 - 637 which completes the archive! There is some stuff to fix like outputting the Group when you search on packs, adding a general search function and an anti-spam measure for the Guest Book. Enjoy guys! |

Very nice, thank you. I've just started to look through it, and there are many, many things there that I didn't even know existed, let alone have.
It's lovely. |

Yeah, that scrolltext might have been a bit personal. Sorry about that. It just all seemed so important at the time. Sixteen years gives you a lot more perspective. And taking time out to put such a big chunk of the Amiga scene online more than makes up for the whole, very silly, 'Unity' thing. Respect! Even if a lot of those demo disks were re-packs. @Mungo why would anyone have Hatred for Majicmushroom??? i never met him till after the/(our) scene days but he was always a chipper bloke to me lol
AFAIK he always sent back disks to swappers and had the utmost respect from the groups he was in apart from them dodgy rave tapes he used to swap in GV mags His packs were well respected too it wasn't some group/scene war was it @Majic if you wanna get a torrent going etc i'll upload them all to a few torrent sites etc well 1 or 2 |

Quite clearly, this had to die. So I took it upon myself to kill it. Majicmushroom was, to my mind, the one most associated with Unity so he copped it too. Simple really. Granted, many saw this as unfair, but then that could be the way of the scene. Like I said before, it seemed so important at the time. I remember some LSD members trying to be 'neutral arbiters' at the time. Which was silly of them really. Us Anthroxers could be a very unreasonable (read: "certifiably insane") bunch at times....... Ah, great days Last edited by Mungo; 11 May 2006 at 15:21. |
