UAE for Android
Hi Guys.
I don't really know where to ask this. But i have a new phone the HTC Desire HD. I saw this program called "UAE4Droid" which works but its very buggy. Does anyone else here know any other Amiga-Emulators for Android by any chance? I could not find any other ones on "Android Market" |

Well for some reason only oversized kickstarts seems to work.
And some games or apps won't work. and some others do. Also it seems very limited when it comes to setting up, ie no memory settings, cpu settings etc. Lets just say, it works. But compatibility-wise its far from perfect. |

I was trying the Spaceballs - State of the Art demo.
But it immediately crashed at the beginning. Haven't tried much games to be honest. |

Try the Skid Row version, they fixed a bug in the loader.

Release version requires 1M chip ram or it crashes after 10 or so seconds.

trackah123 I dont know what you was expecting, 100% amiga emulation on an android phone? never gonna happen ..
I have an android phone and tbh even though most emulators run on it ok, its nothing like using emulators on your pc and never will be. |

I can run Dosbox on my Tegra2 dual core tablet- I'm pretty sure it could run winuae. Heck there was even a ok version of UAE on the old PalmOS platform, that had hard drive file support, among other things.
There's even a couple of decent PSX emulators on Android. I'd love to have a better port of UAE on Android. I wish I had the skills to make it happen. |

Finally got this installed on my Motorola Dext (Cliq for you American chaps), and whilst its actually emulating the Amiga, goddamn, you couldn't actually use it to play anything, just too slow.
Seems to be a curiosity only at this point. |

The problem for now isn't touch-it's the crappy port. I think the versions I ran on my Palm and Windows Mobile devices ran better that this. |

UAE4Droid at least ran my
[ Show youtube player ] a bit faster than a stock A500 on my brother's Android phone. I could even complete a couple of levels using the touchscreen. It refused to work with anything higher than Kickstart 1.3, though.
Maybe we'll see a port of e.g. PUAE to Android some day (with AROS-68k support). Perhaps a bounty for an Amiga-compatible 68k-to-ARM JIT would be a good idea too, to enable high-performance Miggy emulation on mobile devices. |

yeah, like my Xperia X10 Mini Pro. Sadly, although you can type using it, you can't remap the controls to it (it allows you to do it in the menus but doesn't respond to them during emulation). No multitouch either so touch controls useless. Ran at a nice speed though... Last edited by Coagulus; 17 July 2011 at 20:00. Reason: bad grammar |

iControlpad Not sure if the emulator has the ability to use it.. but I`m guessing it wouldn`t be long... |

I can map the Amiga joystick to my Xperia Mini Pro's physical keyboard if I install from the Android market "SimpleWiiContorller" and it's set to "simplewiicontroller". No kidding! Works with Frodo and Vice as well.
