Kick Off 2 2005 World Cup: Cologne, Germany

I would like to inform you that the 5th Kick Off 2 World Championship will be held this year on 12th and 13th of November in Cologne, Germany. Over 50 people from 11 different nations have already signed up to attend and we are expecting even more competitors. The event will take place in the modern conference rooms of the Youth Hostel in Cologne-Deutz.

Kick Off 2 is a legendary video game which was released for the Aimga in 1990. The extreme speed, excellent playability and sheer number of possible moves remain unrivalled even by modern games.

In 2001 Steve Screech, who helped the brilliant game designer Dino Dini in programming this football simulation, started a campaign to rejoin the numerous players throughout Europe, and in November that year the first World Championship of the new millenium was held in Dartford, England. It was hugely successful and in the following years the venues Athens (2002), Groningen (2003) and Milan (2004) kept attracting more and more competitors.

For the first time the German members of the Kick Off Association (KOA) will be organising the KO2 WC. Their experience in hosting such events is great, since the German Championships attract 30+ contestants every year.
