Sh*t Game Time: Pit-Fighter (Snes), What a Stinker!

Welcome to another "Sh*t Game Time" video review, this time I sh*t-rate Pit-Fighter on the Snes/Famicom requested by youtubers "Psyance" & "Parallax Craze" and dump it into the vault of sh*tness forever, I hope you enjoy it.

Damn, the people who ported this must have had the idea you had to chuck money into a snes as well.

Wow, that's a real piece of crap compared to the Amiga version (which is by no means brilliant either).

I never 'got' pit fighter to begin with. Even the arcade game doesn't look like a good game to me. But yeah, that SNES monstrosity is pretty bad!

Why am I not surprised ??,those two guys are Md fanboys, and in the bad sense .
The Md version is the same crappy version, with less colors .

The MD version is NOT the same at all... Yeah its still shit, but it's a huge improvement over the SNES game.

it's not like it was a good or even a correct game in comparison with the snes one .
The both was really shitty and the ask of those two guys for the snes version is not innocent .

If you know Miggy4eva on this forum, those guys are the same, but on megadrive .

Geez. Feel kinda funny now. I actually LIKE the arcade version. Hectic and chaotic, yes, but I'd reckon that underground street fighting would be, though.

The MD version is actually good (except for the sound effects). The Amiga version sucks (except for the sound effects) and the SNES version I only played via emulation. It's bad, alright, but it seems to me that it actually plays better than the Amiga version. Not as good as the MD and, naturally, the arcade version rules supreme. It is by no way a classic, but I actually play it once in a while. Maybe 'cos nostalgia? (played it in the arcades when I was a wee lad, and the arcade had a huuuuuge monitor, like a 30", which at the time was humongous).

No way. At least the Amiga version is playable, I used to be able to get quite far in it. On the SNES it's almost impossible to win the first fight.

I too like the arcade version; spent too many "quarters" back in the day on this.

It's a difficult / unfair game though; as most arcade games were designed to be.

Yep, you're not going to earn money if you can finish games moderately easy on one or two coins.

And nowadays people complain games are pay to win Apparently much like fashion game design too follows a cyclic pattern.

Its no wonder all the conversions were bad, the arcade game was terrible. About two frames of animation per move, terrible sound and shocking collision detection. What a pile of poo

The arcade game has dated badly but back in its day it was quite popular.

@touko

you're correct on those "characters". True "mega drive soldiers" in the worst sense.

On topic, Pit Fighter was a bad game on the arcades as well, but, for the time, the digitized gfx were looking impressive and it did worth some money spent on it just for the experience. The Amiga version seems to be the most accurate conversion of the lot, but easier. Still a bad game though.

Yes even if the arcade version is in fact a bad game, the amiga version was surprisingly accurate and not bad at all technically speaking .

I think I played this on the Pee See once in a while. It was meh, and didn't take much time away from better options like budokan or panza kick boxing.
