[Found: Ultima VIII: Pagan] Looking for a game...

Hi,

I'm looking for a game which I never actually played. I think I saw it in an Amiga Power magazine. I'm sure the graphics are isometric and I remember a knight, grass, water and possibly a bridge. I think the name contained "Ultima" but I'm not sure. I don't even know if it was an unreleased game.

Any ideas?

I've looked it up in HOL, but didn't find it. It's not 'The Final Battle', looks interesting though

. I remember the knight jumping up and being dressed in red, I don't know if that's helpful or not.
I've lost the magazine since then, I'll try to find it in the AMR.

Found it. It's "Ultima VIII: Pagan". It must have been a preview I saw. Was it ever released on the Amiga?

By the way. If you can give me the titles of some isometric RPGs like Hero Quest and Legend I won't mind.

The last officially released Ultima on the amiga was VI, there's an open source conversion of VII for the Amiga as well but that's where it stops.

Yeah, well I doubt that guy covers every RPG anyway. And another thing, some RPGs use first-person but change to isometric during battles, so some screenshots might be misleading.

It's a good start though, I think.

Anyone know of a good site that specifically covers Amiga RPGs with good write-ups and screenshots ?

A nice site with RPG screenshots for nearly all gaming platforms. The write-ups are sadly in Polish.

Man great site! Better screenshots and some of the games have decent write-ups.
