Barbarian Plus - Head chopping classic enhanced is finally here for the Amiga!
Well this came as a complete surprise considering we were told it wasn't going to be released until the weekend, but it looks as if the team behind ' Barbarian Plus ' have finally released it through Facebook! - Mirror in article http://www.indieretronews.com/2018/1...g-classic.html |

To be a game made in Amos is not bad, it works well also from Workbench with any OS and on high-resolution screens. As you can see from the screenshot I ran BarbarianPlus on WinuUAE with dual Monitor RTG + PAL

You can easily beat all standard opponents by holding down FIRE+JOYDOWN. One of the opponents is a nice surprise guest
I can't figure out how to beat the wizard in the final fight though - he teleports to the other side of the arena as soon as I get close to him. Somehow I managed to 'hit' him two times, but I've got no idea how. |

The game looks great but I've tried to install it using both the adf files through "dikimage" and real floppies but once clicked on the installer script on disk 6 I see a screen (Barbarian + Hard Drive Installer) with two options:
- Install - Exit I select install and press "Enter" (or space or any other key) but nothing happens. I can't select "Exit" neither. The "Enter" KEY just doesn't work. Does this happen only to me? |

The installer work, try using the "numeric keypad" However you can install everything by hand just copy all the data of the 6 floppy in a folder Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 09 November 2018 at 19:17. |

I confirm, joystick works fine.
Since I was supposed to write the installation path I thought that I could use just the keyboard. Thanks for the help. @AMIGASYSTEM Thanks for the hint but the "numeric keypad" doesn't seem to work. In any case I've solved my issue. |

I've found a small mistake, though, the game isn't "1 player only" but it is "1 or 2, Simultaneous" |

Decapitations are too easy and CPU won't react correctly letting you chop his head too easily (should crouch or roll or kick you back 90% times).
Gameplay issue: press down + fire all the time = easily reach the last stage against Drax. AI must be improved rolling or blocking more often to avoid your lower hit attacks. Noticed also a bug in the animations: sometimes the AI in the case above, trying to react to lower hit attacks, kicks while jumping and you can see CPU mid-air kicking anim. Would be also great keys redefinition for PLY1 and PLY2 Last edited by hexaae; 11 September 2019 at 11:33. |

Also corner an enemy and up left fire. No contest.
The dragon down fire. No contest. Final boss slide under fireball attack and repeat. Game finished in 5minutes maxc I said it before and I'll say it again way to easy. |
