Magic Johnson Basketball HD install ?

Hello , in HOL database it is said that this game can be installed but manualy...when i open the first disk game i can see an HD install but can't use it...If as HOL says i have to do this install manualy , can someone help me because i am a big noob !!Thanks in advance !!

Hi lolafg,

the file 'Magic_installHD' is a script. Open a CLI/Shell window and type in :

df0:
execute Magic_installHD

It creates a folder called 'MJ_Basketball' on DH0 and copies all necessary files to it. Then it should be playable from HD

I have done what you told me and i have now the folder named MJ_Basketball on DH0 , but how to start the game?

Start the file 'Magic' inside that folder. If that doesn't work I will have a closer look

OK , i'll try that...
do you know why there isn't a MJ_Basketball.info created ?
So i tried and i have a black screen...my Amiga is an A600 2mb chip 4mb sram pcmcia (fast) rom and os 3.1 with Magic Workbench...

The game is quite old (1989) so I think it wont run on your machine

You could try to check if it works from floppy disks. The .info file is not created because the game has no .info file (at least not on my disks).

Ok , thank you for your help ,

I tried from floppy disks and it doesn't work , black screen...I'll have to play it on my old (but good) A500 !!

Good to hear you have the good old A500 aswell

It's just the best thing for old games that have no WHDLoad install.
