Done my bit by checking on an advert for a Mass Spectrometer (Google must think I'm such a geek).

Sigh. At least there are some good ads in there that I don't feel morally apposed to checking.

For information, I'm currently running one a/b test with member's advert:
there will always be one top advert, but sometime with fixed size (90px height), and sometime with responsive size (twice bigger ?). The goal is to see which one if performing better on board Last edited by RCK; 18 November 2019 at 21:48. |

The big version is 1172*252 pixels on my work machine (4k screen) and it takes up a hefty amount of vertical screen space especially with all the added margins.

is this change between big ad and the other the reason for my browser not keeping vertical scroll position at refresh anymore?
it's somehow annoying. i opt in for one size. doesn't matter to me what size, just one fixed size! //edit: i temporarily turned on adblock because this messing up vertical position is really annoying. Last edited by honx; 20 November 2019 at 09:33. |

Hello All,
Yes I confirmed, this responsive version was quite annoying without fixed height. Moreover, their price was less attractive than the regular 90px height. So you can disable your adblock, I rolledback to usual version edit: the advert will show up at the beginning or at the end of the thread for testing. Last edited by RCK; 20 November 2019 at 13:59. |

I prefer at the end The link doesn't seem to be working right now though, looks like doubleclick.net is having trouble. "sent an invalid response".
