Eek [Found: Son of Zeus] Help Identifying a game please (from my memories alone!)

Hello

I am really struggling to remember the name of a game I used to play on my A500+.

It was a game set in a fantasy world (sword and sorcery) where you would move around the map and occasionally get dragged into combat with mythical beasts. The combat was a 2D side scrolling affair and you fought with harpies (showing a breast if I remember rightly ) and centaurs etc.

I would have been very young at the time and I found the combat ridiculously challenging. I would love another crack at it to show it who is boss!

no wasn't that one mate. I don't think you could go up and down in the fighting bits, just left and right a la Super Mario (although it was nothing like Mario so bad example)

OMG!!!

Must say that I'm very surprised as I had never even heard of this back in the day; plus lets not forget that it's a demo of an [unreleased] game so...

Thread title updated

Finally, you may want to grab the disk from this thread as I made it self-booting: Siegemaster & Son of Zeus

@DamienD
Some people would've seen the coverdisk demo back in the day released by Amiga Action. Pity the game was never released as it looked like it would've been a cracker!

EDIT: Just saw that Mick Tinker (infamous dev of the unreleased and very ambitious Amiga BoXeR / Inside Out-Siamese PCI hardware) was the main coder of Son of Zeus, so it's not bloody surprising that the game was never released!

No .ADFs will work on a standard CD32 without loads of extra work sadly i.e. making compilations containing these... you can't use floppy disks...

...just emulate these A500 games via WinUAE and keep your real Amiga CD32 console for CD32 games

Yes I had that magazine and disks back then. Completely fell in love with Space Crusade and got the full game from my parents. I spent ours playing that, need to find a CD32 ISO to download

I hear you my man but I'm more determined to play on the original hardware for some reason.
