Ever forget to turn your miggy off?

Currently my miggy up time is at 77hrs.

Totally unintentional, but it is so silent that I keep forgetting to flick her switch!

At least the power brick is always warm for when I need to work through some shitty excel sales data!

I thought I turned mine off, but had'nt it was on for 2 weeks solid. No harm done, .

Back in the day my uncle would pause games for weeks on end, if he didnt have time to play and didnt want to restart from the beginning of a game.

Not exactly, but at Retr0 Reply last year, even though I took the Power Cable out of the back of my A1200 Tower (With BPPC, etc) some bar steward plugged it back in and switched the machine on before we got to the venue Sunday morning.

I've no idea if it was on for 1hr or all night!

@FOL Weeks! WOW that's hardcore. Testament to the miggy and stability though.

@Steve, Never ever forgot to my A1200T BPPC [ Show youtube player ] off, the noise of the fans and SCSI drive meant I had to before my ears began to bleed!!!

I don't remember which game it was, but I left my old A500 running a whole weekend just for being too lazy to figure out how to save

Wrath of the Demon perhaps? You CAN save your game, I know that now. But HOW exactly? Meh

Not a fun game anyway.

I think it was an adventure, but I really don't remember now. It certainly was a game which should have a save feature.

I left my Uncles A1200 on for weeks while I was playing CM '93. There was a problem with saving to floppies it used to always corrupt the disk. I used to leave it on playing Dune II too as it would corrupt disk 4 iirc.

I left my A600 on the other night in a drunken stupor. Woke up to the noise of the disk drive happily working away to it's self.

Back in the days I used to crunch large files (400-500kb ) with Double Action 1.0 on my A500. It took lots of hours to crunch one file and the machine was totally useless during that time so I left it on over night and sometimes the next day too.
Today, the same processes on a 060@50MHz would take just a few minutes.

The same with me, but the game was Dune I.

If I did I would have had left a disk in! The floppy ticking noise always made me remember to switch off!

Back in the day I remember staying up till all hours playing Cannon Fodder and what not.. that game owes me a life!

I used to leave it on if we went out if I was playing a game I couldn't save - I'd pause it, switch the TV off and come back to it usually hours later. Wonder how much that cost in electricity bills...

My BBS in the Netherlands BBS The Wizard was online for about 8 years.
So my Amiga was always running 24/7 without downtime (almost).
My amiga never give any problems, rock solid.

HAHA! I just got a call from Sos (aka Mrs LuMan) who wanted to know what the odd ticking noise was in my playroom. I just had to tell her to go in and turn my A600 off!! Must've forgotten to do it after playing R-Type II last night

I guess that gives it about 18 hours of up-time

I'd pause it for hours, turn the TV off but never leave it on overnight.
