Executing command contained in .info files

Hi all,

Is there a command or something which allows to execute the command specified in an .info file from CLI as if I had clicked on it from workbench ?

In fact I never use workbench, I'm always in a shell. Usually I use a hex viewer on the .info file and have a look at the bottom of the file so I can see the command. But when the command is complex and uses parameters, it's quite hard to tell in a hex editor.

I guess I'm doing all wrong and that there's an easy way to do this. Maybe a command I'm not aware of.

Someone can help ?

PS: don't know if this is the good forum for this.

Try a little program called WBRUN (On Aminet). It will run a

program from the CLI and use any tooltypes (Arguments) specified

by the icon of that program (If any)

Cheers

Thanks for the tip. Anyway I was searching for a tool that would make it even easier. A tool that would take the .info file as argument and that would execute the stuff as if I had clicked the icon under workbench.
Eg:
magic_tool program.info

;-) Yeps, I thought that maybe the category of the forum was not appropriate

As my amiga nostalgia is actually at 120%, I think you'll see me around for a while asking silly questions ;-)

Something like that should be easy to code. Check Aminet if you may find something like this there. If you can't let me know and I will code this little tool for you then.

Mhhhh !
My goal is just to make a little program that extract the command line to be executed contained in an .info file and print it to stdout.
I guess this is a small number of code line in C using the appropriate .library
Anyway I have no C compiler for amiga and the little C knowledge I had some time ago has gone on holiday.
I would use this program in order to easily run WHDload games just by typing a command in the folder of the game. The script would remove the QuitKey if any and set QuitKey=F10

If on a rainy day you have time to do this I would really appreciate.
Otherwise, could you point me what I need for quickly have a compiler with include files up and running ? I guess I can find all I want on aminet but I don't know what is the best and light C compiler out there and where to find the workbench include files if I need them.

Thanks!
