just to be clear, John... should we attempt this if we're getting no picture at all? or is this for people with a working picture but some other issue (banding and glitching)?

The zone will only last a time. I think this link works:
http://www.a1k.org/forum/showpost.ph...3&postcount=33 And we have to put here links for all the modes... |

You see what I said about The Zone? Now Xtreme mode isn't there for what I see. We need a link.

Here it is, Xtreme mode attached.
And this is DonAmiga trying it: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=858 Edit: A post showing each mode and Tv&Amiga specs, commenting speed and so would be fine too. For example I'm planning to use an ACA1230/56 with Fast Ata. Last edited by Retrofan; 31 May 2012 at 21:06. |

@johnim
I think we must have similar monitors. I have Phillips 17" CRT. Xtreme is out of range of my screen and the only mode (apart from maybe PAL) I don't get glitches after a while is Superplus. |

Me neither. HighGFX in 1024x768 works fine though. I have a NEC MultiSync LCD 1970NXp. Should get an old CRT =)
With an ACA1231, its doable in 256 colors, better in 128 but blazing fast in 64 colors. Last edited by Turran; 01 June 2012 at 15:13. |

Same here with Xtreme. My TFT just says "Video frequency too high". At this time SuperPlus gave me the most satisfying result. The 800x600 resolution fits almost perfectly on my screen. One odd downside is that the Indivision seems to re-clock the screen repeatedly at certain circumstances (i.e. when I open a larger window). Don't ask me why since nothing actually changes with the screen settings. Also, this screen mode isn't used by games and demos by default and I would have to do annoying adjustments to force them into this resolution (if this is even possible). I tried to run Doom with SuperPlus (without scaling, the picture filled the upper left corner of the screen ) and the Indivision kept reclocking the screen almost constantly. The native PAL mode runs flawless, but the picture is a little stretched and doesn't utilize the whole screen (has big black borders around it). However, I would always prefer a native mode. Hopefully they finish the config tool soon...

I would like to use SuperPlus, but 800x600 lets me with the icons very big in my screen, so I'm using HighGFX. The problem is that with my ACA1230/56 if I try to open any of the TestPics in the zone, it says "not enough graphic memory". If I use SuperPlus I can open that images without problems. I can not use Xtreme either.
Edit: No, I was wrong. I was trying to open them with Multiview with 256 colors, as I had a problem "can't find your tool visage". I forgot I was trying with 256 colors, sorry. I've posted this in another thread, so I just edit it here. http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...postcount=1397 Last edited by Retrofan; 08 June 2012 at 12:37. |

Hey, did you get Ratte's Screenmode with 1280x1024 for IndiMK2 from The Zone? Or is that the Xtreme mode you're talking about?

@Retrofan: Yeah, the problem with these high resolutions is that they eat a lot of ChipRAM which makes the system quite useless especially for graphic-oriented processes.
@prowler: I think the one with 1280x1024 is Ratte's Xtreme mode. |

bah...I regretted ordering it straight away...but all my flatscreens has 1x vga and 1x dvi...so I thought I might as well run those instead of getting another old flatscreen.
Mine is not shipped yet...but the picture is ok, right ? |
